Premise: An Italian performer of Brazilian music is on the verge of Hollywood success with the help of an engineered celebrity romance, when her new boyfriend mysteriously jumps to his death and she is blamed for his suicide.

Theme: Our ‘cult of celebrity’ hides damaged people struggling with personal demons – but honesty with self and others heals the past.

Linear Synopsis: A tough, sexy, single-minded yet naïve performer is famous in Brazil (although she’s Italian, she let’s everyone believe she’s Brazilian). To launch her crossover career in Hollywood, she agrees to a fake celebrity romance with a popular male model.  Spending so much time together, they find common ground and slowly begin to fall in love for real.  But when she turns down his marriage proposal, because she wants her first real relationship to unfold naturally and away from the tabloids, he kills himself, and she is blamed for the tragedy.

To ease her conscience and salvage her reputation, she tries to piece together his suicide with the help of his audio diary.  Along the way she uncovers his surprising secrets and a childhood trauma she also shares.  Can she heal from the past, let him go, and learn to love again?
