Meet the Founder: Laurie Lamson.
Expertise of a professional, enthusiasm of a beginner, soul of an artist.
Laurie is a produced and published American writer who brings art, heart and soul to every endeavor.
Laurie has written well over 100 produced film, video and audio scripts for education, marketing and entertainment projects, ranging from PSAs and commercials, to animation explainers and promo videos, to a multi-award-winning feature film.
Projects served Fortune 500 companies, City, State and Federal agencies, and small businesses. Many client videos earned honors such as an Emmy nomination, Aegis, Telly, Communicator, and CINE Golden Eagle awards.
Laurie’s deep understanding of writing for the screen – with its emphasis on economical, visual, emotionally-engaging storytelling – is a powerful asset for writing and polishing text and copy.
Big-picture vision and eye for detail.
A big picture “idea person” and creative catalyst, Laurie develops concepts and helps clients explore and refine their own ideas.
As a wordsmith with book editing experience, she uses her intuitive grasp of grammar and error-catching eye to polish text until it shines.
Go-to for dramatic narrative storytelling.
Fostering effective storytelling isn’t just a job for Laurie, it’s a way of life.
She hones her dramatic narrative skills on her own screenplays, and as a friend and mentor to fellow writers. (Check out NowWrite.net.)
Filmmaking background.
Laurie’s career began when she earned a BFA in Film Production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she stood out as one of the few women in the program at the time – demonstrating her tenacity and ability to break barriers.
Before focusing on writing, she worked in film and video production as a script supervisor and video producer, overseeing projects for VH-1, Clairol, Bank of America, The Gap, and post-production for the Myst Riven game.
Laurie has written, directed and produced (or co-wrote/co-produced) internationally well-received short films and music videos. She also wrote, produced, directed and edited three short “audio movies” in the Anti-Heroine podcast series.
