"SoCal, So Easy" marketing campaign

Ontario International Airport was updating and expanding their facilities and offering more international travel. They wanted to attract business travelers to consider them as an alternative to LAX, as well as serve new airlines.

They hired Shot Glass Films to help with their campaign.

Laurie wrote this 30-second commercial ad, as well as two 7-minute promo videos  – one targeted to airlines, the other to consumers.

Background:

Showreel, Inc. was a woman-owned production company Laurie worked with for years as a scriptwriter, collaborating with the owner, Lynne Jackson, and her son, the company’s video director, Eric Jackson. Previously they contracted Laurie to write a commercial ad for Ontario International when they were separating from LAWA.

When Lynne was ready to retire, an impressive young woman producer, Jessica Ristic, took over, renamed the company Shot Glass, kept on Eric as primary director, and continues to work with Laurie as their freelance scriptwriter.
